Lucio Ranucci

He was born in 1925 in Perledo (Como), but he spent his childhood and adolescence between Rome, Perugia and Milan.  He starts in  Milan a career as a journalist, but in 1947 he moved to Argentina and made his debut as a painter with a personal exhibition in Lima, Peru in 1949. What seemed like a short trip to Latin Americo lasts more than 16 years dealing with journalism and theater especially in Ecuador , Columbia and Costa Rica where, in particular, he directs the University theater and a daily newspaper. He returned to Italy in 1963 working for a time in Rome. After three years in Paris, he moved to the French Riviera where he currently lives and works. For over twenty years now he devoted himself exclusively to painting and he has presented numerous solo exhibitions,in particular, in Italy, France and the United States.
