Antonio Nunziante

He was born in Naples in 1956. After receiving the high school diploma in Art, he attended the Academy of Fine Arts for two years. He begins to show his work in 1975 and in 1983 he exhibited for the first time in the United States by being well known to the American public. In 1985 the exhibition in Spello, next to Pietro Annigoni. Take part to the Biennale in Bergamo between 1986 and 1990. The exhibitions in Tokyo in 1990 and in 1991 at New York  Artexpo give Nunziante international visibility. In 1996, at the exhibition "The value of the figure", his works were exhibited alongside those of the greatest italian masters. Begin to emerge at this time elements that will become a constant in his work: metaphysics, symbolism and romance. Follows the exhibition in Venice at the Orler Gallery  in 1997 and at the Art Center San Vidal in 1999. The year 2007 is characterized by a succession of numerous exhibitions: London, Paris and Turin with a personal anthology. In the following Venice in 2009, Miami in the same year, and in 2010 Prague and the exhibition at Castel Sismondo Rimini entitled "Nunziante by Caravaggio."In November 2012 some of his most important works are presented alongside new works within the exhibition Works in Soho.
