Walter Piacesi

He was born in 1929 in Ascoli Piceno. After an initial period lived in Ancona, in 1948 he moved to Urbino and attended the Institute of Fine Arts and became professor of chalcography In the early 70 he held in Urbino the International Courses of techniques of engraving and from 1975 to 1982 he teaches Engraving Techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. Besides teaching Piacesi expressed since the mid-50s intense painting and engraving activity. Creativity, spirit of observation and graphic agility are inherent in him, of them you need to grasp every aspect of modern life. Dominant element in Piacesi is the exaltation of the woman, one of a kind, highlighted in all her aspects: soft, lived, saucy, scantily dressed and flirtatious, but never vulgar.
Piacesi has received numerous prizes and awards and his works are present in important private and public collections.
